Emanuela (Ema) joined Casey Development, Ltd. as Controller in March of 2020. In her role she manages the Accounting operations of the company. Ema has a BBA cum laude in Accounting from the California State University Sacramento and is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.
Ema started her professional career in property management and real estate in 2006, working for Alliance Residential and Ethan Conrad Properties in Sacramento, CA. In her positions varying from Leasing Agent, Property Manager to Assistant Controller she managed to acquire a wide spectrum of experience in all aspects of the real estate field.
In 2012 she decided to relocate to San Antonio where she expanded her Accounting and Finance expertise by working for several large public companies. From 2013 to 2016 Ema was a Senior General Ledger Accountant at iHeart Media- Clear Channel where she managed the Accounting for some of the largest US and Canadian markets of the company. In 2016 she joined Pioneer Energy Services as Assistant Controller and was promoted to Controller a year later.
Throughout her career Ema has been very passionate about accuracy and transparency in all Financials. Her daily goal is to be a true business partner to the Operations Managers by providing them meaningful reporting and insight to drive the business and increase profits.
Ema was born and raised in Transylvania, Romania but decided to relocate to California in 2002 and has been a San Antonian since 2012. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling and family time with her husband Andrew, a Litigation Attorney in San Antonio and their spunky 3-year-old daughter Emily.
